Replacing your printer cartridges.

Make sure the printer is turned on. If the product is turned off when the ink cartridge door is opened to access the inkjet cartridges, it will not release the cartridges for changing. The product might be damaged if the ink cartridges are not docked safely when trying to remove them.

Open the ink cartridge door.

The carriage moves to the right side of the product. Wait until the carriage is idle and silent.

Lightly press down on a ink cartridge to release it, and then pull the ink cartridge toward you out of its slot.

Remove the new ink cartridge from its packaging and, being careful to touch only the plastic, gently remove the plastic tape by using the pink pull tab.

Do not touch the copper coloured contacts or ink nozzles. Also, do not re tape the ink cartridges. Doing so can result in clogs, ink failure, and bad electrical connections.

Hold the ink cartridge with the HP logo on top, and insert the new ink cartridge into the empty cartridge slot. Push the cartridge firmly into the slot until it snaps into place. Close the ink cartridge door. you have now instaled your cartridge.
